This sculpture is of the Black Dragon, also known as Black Turtle.
A neat representation of a traditional Koguryo Cave Mural. I stumbled across it on one of my image search binges and had to share. Again, i am having trouble posting pics, so here is the link.

I'm struck by the correspondence to our animal imagery. To me it looks like a snake surrounding a turtle, obviously bringing to mind our beginner and intermediate forms. That the whole thing is called the black dragon cues in even better binding things together under the Soo Ho Ji Moo umbrella. Thanks for linking this Master Circle! _________________ Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans
